Kambua was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya.

Kambua has two albums under her belt- Nishikilie and Nyumbani, and has embarked on her third CD "Umetenda Mema" due for release in 2013

Aside from more music, Kambua's long-term goals include being a humanitarian voice for young women and children.

Kambua is married to Jackson Mathu.
